A note about The Read Aloud Family vs The Read Aloud Handbook - they are related, because MacKenzie's book was inspired by Trelease's book. The Jim Trelease book is more statistical, research based, and Sarah MacKenzie talks more practically about how to make reading a fun and exciting and holistic part of family life. If you're going to get only one, get the MacKenzie title first.
