Vision:
To encourage and support homeschool families as they nurture curious, confident learners growing in both knowledge and faith.
Mission Statement:
At Happy Strong Home, we create practical, faith-filled resources that help parents guide their children’s learning using classical and Charlotte Mason-inspired approaches—making education joyful and meaningful for the whole family.
Core Values:
- Faith at the Heart: We seek to honor God in everything we do and help families grow spiritually as they learn.
- Classical Roots: We believe in the beauty and wisdom of classical education to shape thoughtful, lifelong learners.
- Everyday Helpfulness: We design tools that are simple, useful, and encouraging for busy parents.
- Joyful Learning: We believe education should be full of wonder, discovery, and delight.
About Julie
I am a former English teacher turned stay-at-home-mom and blogger. I love God, coffee, reading, baking, crafting, the outdoors, and anything to do with my kids and family! I hate spiders, most shades of pink (please don’t judge my logo!), and assembling things with small parts (go figure, my boys are huge LEGO enthusiasts!).
My husband is a science teacher, black belt in martial arts, gardener and secretly a fabulous handyman! He loves Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, rigging up gardening structures, and the St. Louis / LA Rams (I know, I know!).
We’re raising two energetic, curious, and clever boys (born in 2010 and 2012) who fill our days with conversation, invention, and adventure.
Happy Strong Home is a homeschool parenting blog created for moms who want to nurture their children’s faith, character, and love of learning—through a classical lens and a gentle, natural lifestyle. I started blogging in 2010 (though I’ve been writing online since 2005), when I was learning to slow down and savor early motherhood. What began as a way to document our days has grown into a space where I share encouragement, resources, and ideas for homeschooling, parenting, faith-building, and family life.
Whether you’re exploring classical education, looking for practical tips, or just need encouragement in your homeschooling journey—you’re welcome here.
