Can you believe he’s 5 months?

I looked over at my husband on the couch the night before last and said, “Five months ago, I was giving birth to E–, can you believe that?”

He laughed, looked at the clock and said, “No, exactly five months ago, you were reading your Twitter stream in the hospital!” True… since my labor was non-existent until 1:00 a.m.!

Still… we can’t believe we’ve already enjoyed five months of this charming, smiley, chunky-monkey little boy!

He weighs over sixteen pounds and is over 25 inches long (official check isn’t till Thursday).

Drools like it’s stylish. Might be some teething going on.

He just started rolling over about two weeks ago – but hates it.

Loves watching his brother play and make noise – except when big brother knocked over the bean box which scared him.

Loves to be tickled.

Loves to be carried.

Is a great sleeper in general – easy to put down with just a few minutes of rocking or nursing. Takes regular morning, afternoon, late afternoon naps.

But doesn’t sleep through the night yet – he still wakes around 12:30 and 4:30 for feedings. Oh my boys and the middle-of-the-night-feedings!

We love his good-natured grin and belly laugh. His dark eyes with those little eyebrows coming in are quite expressive.

He travels well…eats well…and he’s a snuggler… ahhhh!!

I know he won’t remember a thing about Christmas this year, but I’m looking forward to seeing his reaction on Christmas morning and having him watch all his cousins and brother open gifts!

Happy 5 months old!!

Gosh he looks like he is going to be as big as A soon!

I love that last photo of you holding him and cooking. That is great. He sounds truly delightful. With my #2 I enjoyed the middle of the night feedings as it seemed to be our only alone time together since her brother was generally always around for her other feedings and quiet time.

E is going to continue to be fascinated and want to do everything A does. It will be fun for your to see this.
