Perhaps you’re an avid essential oil user. Or maybe you’re still checking out what essential oils can do for you (see my post here!). Either way, everyone could probably take better care of their feet! How about a delightful and natural exfoliating treatment in this Frankincense Essential Oil Foot Scrub Recipe!?
Christmas is the perfect time of year to create this foot scrub since frankincense was one of the three gifts brought to baby Jesus. And, you’re probably looking for some great DIY gift ideas, aren’t you! (like this one!?)
Here’s a foot scrub recipe you can use or give as gifts, and some fact about that mysterious oil: Frankincense!
A Little About Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense has long been known as the precious oil of kings, THE KING. Exotic, fragrant, and effective for many ailments, Frankincense essential oil is at the top of many essential oil users must-have lists. It’s also one of the more expensive ones you can buy, but definitely worth it for all the benefits.
While I called this a foot scrub, it’s a wonderful exfoliating treatment you can use all over your body to soften skin (avoid the face). I think it makes a perfect Christmas gift for friends and family with all the benefits it provides plus the spiritual connection this time of year.

So many good reasons to be sure and grab some Frankincense essential oil if you don’t already have some in your essential oil stash.
While I added Ginger essential oil to this recipe mainly because I feel like it compliments Frankincense well, Ginger essential oil brings its own benefits to the scrub:
-
Helps alleviate minor aches & pains from daily life

Frankincense Essential Oil Foot Scrub Recipe (with Ginger!)
Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup coconut oil
1 tsp. Castile soap, unscented
10 drops Frankincense essential oil
5 drops Ginger essential oil (optional)
Directions:
In a medium bowl combine sugar, coconut oil, Castile soap, Frankincense essential oil, and ginger essential oil. Stir until well combined. Add more oil if you like yours a little wetter.
Thanks, Jody, for that great recipe! I’d also advise packaging up your Frankincense foot scrub into glass jars, because essential oils don’t store well in plastic containers. Plus a lovely Mason jar always makes for a pretty gift!
