Prayer Poem for Brotherly Love {Day 12}

Sunday again – Day 12! Wow I’m almost halfway through this Write 31 Days Challenge!

Today I’m going to write another Prayer Poem for my boys. I love the verse on the MOB Society’s Prayer Calendar today, because it mentions “Brotherly Love.” So appropriate for my theme this month!

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: I Peter 3:8

Lord,
may our family
be looking towards you with unity
of mind
husband, wife, little boys
may compassion be found
one to another
in play, let them share freely
in pain, let them love deeply
in sadness, let them comfort truly
may our boys forge a bond of brotherhood
and love each other
when they stumble,
may each brother lift the other
restoring
with pity and not disdain
when they wrong each other,
help them respond
with soft words,
considerate
at the end of all…
let us love one another.
