Father’s Day Gift Idea: Mighty Leaf Tea

A day for dads. What better way to tell dad thank you than with a delicious and refreshing glass of iced tea for him to relax with in the summer sun?

I’ve been a fan of Mighty Leaf teas for several years now, and when they sent me (at no charge for my review) their new DIY Iced Tea brewing kit, I knew it would make a great Father’s Day gift idea!

At just $19.99, this kit (1 pitcher and 1 box of tea) is a great value for a modern Takeya pitcher made AcrGlass (BPA free). The silicone handle is removable and the pitcher is dishwasher safe. Plus, the pitcher is stain, cloud, and odor-proof, with an airtight lid so the tea doesn’t pick up strange flavors in the fridge. This is a pitcher we have loved having out on the counter with freshly brewed iced tea.

Mighty Leaf also sent along their delicious iced tea bags. Whole leaf teas specially blended into four great flavors that are perfect for icing. Each box has four large tea bags in sturdy mesh (not paper) to make four large pitchers of tea. 

My favorite is Ginger Peach – lightly sweet and delicate, it’s a refreshing drink made from South Indian black tea leaves.

Calypso Mango is a South Indian black tea, luscious and cooling with a tropical twist.

For green tea lovers, try Sunburst Green – crispy citrus with a cool, vibrant flavor from moutain-grown Chinese green tea leaves. (and a neat light emerald hue!).

Organic Black is for plain tea lovers – South Indian black tea hand picked, the flavor has rich and vibrant tones.

Since we got this gift set, I’ve been making pitcher after pitcher of iced tea (oh and please don’t forget it has caffeine in it! I get so caught up in drinking the delicious teas, I forget how much I’m taking in and end up staying awake all night! haha!).
